Terms of Service
Last updated July 8, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of The Social Engine (the “service”), operated by Cook and Company Coaching Inc. (“we,” “us”). By using the service you agree to these Terms.
The service
The Social Engine helps you create branded social content and publish it to the social platforms you connect. You are responsible for the accounts you link and for complying with each platform’s own terms.
Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
Subscriptions & billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor. New accounts may start with a free trial; unless cancelled before it ends, the plan converts to a paid subscription. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your account — changes take effect according to your billing cycle. If a payment fails, your account is frozen with a 30-day window to reinstate it; after 30 days without reinstatement, the account and its data are permanently deleted.
Refunds. Two guarantees apply. (1) 14-day money back — email support@tapandpost.com within 14 days of your first payment on a plan and we refund that payment in full. (2) First month — if the service did not publish 30 posts for you during your first 30 days on a paid plan, tell us within that month and we refund that month. Content already produced remains yours in both cases. Outside these guarantees, and except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
Text messaging (SMS)
The service includes an optional SMS notification program — The Social Engine post-review & account alerts — used to text you a review link before a scheduled post goes live, plus account, security, and support notifications. You opt in by entering your mobile number and checking the consent box during signup or onboarding; consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies with your posting activity and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help at any time. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Full details are in our SMS Terms and Privacy Policy.
Your content
You retain ownership of the content you upload and create. You grant us the limited license needed to process, transform, store, and publish that content to your connected accounts on your behalf. You represent that you have the rights to the content you provide and that it does not infringe others’ rights or violate any platform’s rules.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to send spam or unlawful, deceptive, infringing, or harmful content, to violate a social platform’s terms, or to attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Disclaimers & liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for the availability or actions of third-party social platforms. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
